Episode 118: JK's Trick

We do a little bit of catching up with the fallout of last week's Rowling drama, and speculate on the future of Fantastic Beasts and the beleaguered Harry Potter At Home marketing initiative. Then we rip into another chapter of Deathly Hallows, which is definitely not better than the last few, but it certainly isn't boring! Finally, since we wish this book had been a big hoax, we investigate a theory from a week before the book's release that posited that the leak was actually a fake book written and released to... uh... well... hmm. JK's trick!

I remember Deathly Hallows far more than Half-Blood Prince yet so much of this is unfamiliar. The traitor thing...not sure if that ever comes up again with all honesty or if it's some limp answer like one of the characters we just met is the traitor (maybe the LeStrange sister?) I swear I remember the first chapter is them in the woods and that Voldemort had taken all of the ministry and Hogwarts by book's start, making him truly threatening.
