Narc Afterthought
Added 2022-01-17 19:42:15 +0000 UTCBit of a shorter one if only because there wasn't as much ground to cover. Sonic's already up and the afterthought for that will be handled next month. In the meanwhile I'm chipping away at Yakuza 0. That may take a while so just know I'm not gone, just giving it the time it needs.

"Wallowing in and glamorizing sadness and misery" That's why I got sick of The Walking Dead and Game of Thrones very quickly despite initially adoring them. They were just too hopeless and miserable as to be legitimately unpleasant to watch, no matter how 'good' the writing was. Modern Star Trek takes too many cues from that kind of writing as well, probably why nu-trek absolutely does not feel like Star Trek. Feels more like Mass Farsecape Galatica. All good IP's in their own right, but Star Trek should stop trying and failing to be something else and just be itself IMO.
