The second half of the act 3 roller coaster is aimed directly at our asses. We have a Cool Villain Reveal, flying, a comedy Cedric performance (that's the guess, at least) and a whole host of other moments so over the top it's hard not to be delighted. We discuss how strange this all feels coming off of Deathly Hallows, how different Thorne's work feels from JKR's, and how the fandom might have came to despise something so full of the kind of fan service you might expect people to hail as a victory lap.
Then we continue our descent into linguistic nightmares (play one act two part one of two etc etc) with a listicle from one of our favorite websites...

the what-if talk in the middle about what would have happened if HP had gone the Star Wars route made me remember how deeply I wanted a novel of short stories set in Hogwarts in different historical eras when I was my deepest in the fandom.

2022-02-19 10:22:48 +0000 UTCI've been following A More Civilized Age's Clone Wars commentary and the writers on that talked about Lucas occasionally showing up in the writer's room to drop some absolutely insane lore and then leave and now I'm imagining a world where that was how Rowling dropped all her Pottermore lore
