One of my favorite changes made from book to movie is just that very last moment at the summit of Mount Doom before the Ring is destroyed. The fact that Frodo is so entranced by the power of the Ring, finger bitten off and all, that he gets up and fights Gollum over it. Just barely avoids plummeting to his death right alongside Gollum.

2023-03-04 18:39:44 +0000 UTCAragorn's fine, but Legolas is a cool alien who sleeps with his eyes open and runs across ropes. The movie didn't capitalize on alien Legolas enough.
