We have a lot to catch up on this week! Neopets news, string performances, (not so) scary films... plus, we've got a pair of chapters that propel Catching Fire forward into exciting territory. Hopefully? There's going to be another Hunger Game in these books, it turns out. We speculate on how exactly that might shake out, what would make it more interesting than the first outing, and much more.
Side note: I recommend Alan Wake in the beginning segment. I don't spoil anything direct, BUT if you are getting into the series because of the new sequel and want to go in as pure as possible, skip forward 3 minutes when I bring it up! Likewise, I bring up the FNAF movie and I don't think I truly spoil anything but I talk about the overall structure.

There used to be a website where people could enter the names of 24 tributes (their friends, fav fictional characters, whatever), and the site would randomly generate a scenario (ex. Harry Potter kills Harry Styles with a hatchet on Day 3, etc.) That could make for some fun third segment filler when you run out of card packs.

So people started getting in trouble because the first several chapters of SYOT fics were usually submission forms, rules, etc.

Now I'm thinking about a sequel where Prim and Gale were tributes and became the main characters. Maybe they go in with a rebellion plan and contacts on the outside so the plot expands beyond surviving the game.

The author would open up 24 slots for a fic, you would PM an author a bio about your Tribute for an open spot, and the author would create a fic with all the characters you submitted. Often the authors would advertise that they'd use randomizers to determine how they'd write the Tribute death order.

Literally the best way for him to protect Katniss when she is a better fighter than him is to be sending her medicine and that Ken doll armor Cato got.

2023-11-04 17:35:39 +0000 UTCalso Xeecee, you're a little bit wrong. the lore has kind of expanded a bit, and it seems like they took some aspects of the books for the movie. one of the things from the books was that Afton was kind of in control of the animatronics and would send them to do his bidding, but then when the main character "reminded" the souls inside of what Afton did them, they turned on him. kinda similar to what happens in the movie so it wasn't completely random!
