Jaune To Joan Chapter 29

Chapter 29

Joan was gone. Joan was gone, and Cinder was all alone. It wasn’t the first time in her life she had been alone, far from, but… but… it stung so much more after for the first time in her life experienced something else. Broken, devastated, Cinder stumbled her way back to the only person she believed she could turn to.

“Have you found the maiden?” Salem greeted bluntly the moment Cinder walked in.

“I-”

“I see your arm is doing better? What happened there?”

“I- It’s…” Cinder hid her arm behind her. “Joan. She figured something out; she has a semblance, she… saved me and-”

“Good enough. It is good she did something; Kill her.”

“Salem!”

“Him? Is it him? I don’t care, Kill it!”

“Salem, no, she is-”

“A dead end; one which has wasted plenty of your time already? I agree, now, put it out of its misery! Those White Fang have proven themselves useful again; more useful than you at least. They suspect a maiden is with the Brawnwen tribe.” Salem turned to face Cinder. “Put your pet down. It is time to get back to work.”

“Salem- I- she saved me, she is useful, she can-”

“It; has no use. Are you questioning my orders, my sweet beloved Cinder?” Salem approached.

“Salem, no. I just- it’s just.”

“Just what? Just your loyalty wavering?” Clawed hands reached out for Cinder’s face and nails threatened her flesh in a familiar way. “What do you have this remaining eye for? Is it just to fool yourself into thinking you see farther than you do?” Salem’s nails dug deeper into Cinder’s skin.

“Salem, no! Please! Stop!” Cinder pleaded.

“Do you know what you must do?”

“I- Salem, don’t-” Cinder screamed in pain, her master’s hands flattening against her temples and threatening to crush her skull.

“Do not deny me; beloved child. Even you can be replaced; maybe that mute would be less bothersome. Certainly less talkative.”

“Yes Master! I! I’ll- I- kill the- the pet and find the next maiden with the Branwens.”

“Good.” Salem released the pressure and smiled. “Much better child. You know, love must occasionally have a firm hand-” Salem snatched Cinder’s jaw painfully. “Especially with one as dense headed as you!”

“I- I’m sorry Master. I will- I will be obedient.” The words left Cinder’s mouth, but she didn’t believe them.

“Good, prepare your weapons and go.”

Cinder stumbled out of Salem’s quarters. Her mind felt shattered. Salem… she wanted Joan dead. But- but- her head hurt- it hurt too much for all this vile thinking. She was to be a weapon; a tool for Salem. She owed her life, her power, her strength; she owed it all to Salem. That was where her loyalties lied.

Disoriented, her world cracking as it spun under her feet, Cinder made her way down to the armory. Of course, the first thing she saw; the shining white, silver, and gold. Joan’s old sword and shield. She couldn’t help but pause, reach out and touch it.

Joan! She needed it. How would she get far without any weapon? How long could she last in a fight against a half maiden without her weapon; without even her shield. She was a sitting duck, just waiting to be slaughtered.

Human fingers traced over the sword's outline and Cinder's heart began to shatter. Joan was gone, and if Salem had her way…

Cinder knew she had to do something; she had to choose; obedience or revolt. The broken beating family she had, or the promise of a new one.

"Oh! Hey Cinder!" Mercury greeted, walking in like there was not an issue in the world. "How is Joan? I know you were worried about her? I really just don't know what happened."

"You don't?" Cinder reeled at Mercury still trying to play innocent.

"Yeah, she was fine when I dropped off her food."

"Odd."

"You know what- she might just be needing something- someone to help her realize she's a real girl now. Watts said you gave her a fat pussy? Maybe I could help you out by breaking her in an-" Mercury passed out from a swift chop to the back of his neck.

Cinder hit him hard, but not so hard he would die. He was in greater risk from how his head clunked harshly against the metal weapons rack. She checked tho, he was alive; breathing at least. "Thanks, you made this a hell of a lot easier Merc." Cinder stole the sword and shield off of the rack and she was off to find her love; and, if she was lucky, a real family too.

“So… that’s pretty much what happened. I- I hit him… but no literal or metaphorical blood ended up on my hands from it. I figured that was not too much?”

“It’s not.” Joan rolled over, her head still resting on Cinder’s lap.

“You’re beautiful.” Cinder felt overwhelmed and compelled by the sight to note it.

“Thanks.” Joan giggled and snuggled into Cinder’s lap.

“You all full?” Cinder cooed and ran her fingers through Joan’s long hair.

“Squirrel was better than I expected. But five might have been a bit much.”

“You needed to fill back up. But, we will need to get moving soon. Salem won’t believe my betrail, but Mercury will be screaming bloody murder about how I almost killed him.” Cinder rolled her eyes at Joan’s frown. “I gave him a mild concussion at worst.” She huffed. Joan was wonderful, but she had a tendency to be a bit of a priss about these things too.

“Fine. I suppose it’s progress.” Joan settled.

“Speaking of progress…” Cinder lifted her left hand. It was… it was human. Her nails needed a mighty clipping, and she wouldn’t be using it on Joan’s nethers any time soon for fear of clawing her up, but the grimm was subdued.

“Cinder!” Joan cheered and sat up, holding the hand.

“Your semblance lending me aura kind of supercharged me, kept me fighting it back extra hard for a while.”

“Is- is it gone? Like gone gone?” Joan questioned.

“No. I suspect it will always be a part of me- that was certainly Salem’s plan; to keep me indebted and in need of her. But… I can control it. I can fight it. I’m sure I’ll have some sharp claws and it will look like my fingers are rotting off when I get overly angry… or anything it loves to feed on… but, if someone’s willing to help me out every once in a while? I think I’ll be fine.”

“Someone is willing to help.” Joan smiled and kissed her. This time, Cinder didn’t let the kiss slip away, not even for a moment. She grabbed Joan’s face with both of her hands, her human hands, and kissed back passionate and deep. Joan was hers, not her possession, not her slave, her pet, but… if Joan was willing, she would be hers. Her lover? Her family? Cinder still didn’t know exactly what, but she knew she would love it as she pressed the beautiful blonde down to the ground and began biting mercilessly at Joan’s lower lip.

“Ha- ha- Ah~ Cinder… I-”

“Mine, you are mine, you beautiful girl.” Cinder broke from the kiss to lavish the bite scar on Joan’s neck with soft licks and suction.

“Oh- Oh brothers! I! Cinder~ That’s~ Woah.. My body feels so weird…” Joan’s eyes rolled back and she seemed to begin to pant softly.

“You haven’t gotten to cum with your final development.” Cinder teased. “Do you think your pussy will be just as needy as your ass? Will you always be my good slut?”

“Oh~ Cinder! Fuck~”

“Joan?” Cinder paused and worried. “I- is that not ok anymore?”

Joan’s eyes locked with Cinder’s. They were so full and needy. She was so beautiful like that, such a hopeless whore desperate to have herself filled. “Ok! Ok- it’s ok!

“Good.” Cinder delighted and rushed to flip up Joan’s skirt only to be stopped.

“Wait! I! Just… not now?”

“Right… we’ll be being hunted any minute now.” Cinder winced and felt an imbecile. Since when had she turned into the one thirsting over a woman so hard she quickly grew stupid.

“I love you. And- and I desperately want to. I just… I’d rather us do it once we are home and free.”
