In this episode, we look at Dose #249 from 2017: "Sunrise Records: The Craziest Company in Canada", a story about a retailer who bought up 70 stores that sell music, DVDs and Funko Pops in malls at a time when malls everywhere were dying. At the end of that video, I made a comment that "maybe in 2022 I'll have to eat my words". So, it's 2022... is it time to break out the knife and fork? Let's find out!

Another interesting thing that I guess is semi-related: with recent controversies around streaming services such as HBO Max gutting certain content off its platform, there seems to be more reappraisal of physical media than in years prior. So maybe a store like Sunrise could benefit in later years.
