ok thank you for answer, next on list airbrush :)

Poul-Erik Mikkelsen

If you don't have a brush airbrush it is a bit more complicated because what I do with the airbrush are glazes (and with the brush it would take you a long time and you won't get the same result). It is not impossible but it is true that it will take you many more hours. The paints I usually use are from Vallejo or Ak.

Sergio Calvo Miniatures

Hi Sergio this tutorial is really awesome learned a ton :) as i dont have an airbrush yet, should i "blend/glaze" between each highlight to get that hard edge from each layer more smooth. Also what paints are you using :) again thank you for an awsome tutorial.

Poul-Erik Mikkelsen

Hahahahahahahha I didn't remember!!!! I should make a meme out of this.

11min 38 sec Sergio please dont touch your hair in the video again! Too sexy lol! Can't focus bro

Da Yu

Cool, thanks, i hope the model will be available again too :(

Rik Jurriaans

Yes, we intend to make all the videotutorials in PDF, I don't know how long it will take but it's something we plan to accomplish ^^

Sergio Calvo Miniatures

That would be “capibases” Karen ☺️ It’s just what Sergio calls his main way of applying paint: with a very small or no amount of water mixed in. It apparently comes from his friends who think that he looks a bit like Captain America I think, so he calls every layer of paint a “Capi-base”. And don’t worry, it took awhile for me to understand what he meant too.

Botteu

What is a capiraces? Am I hearing it right?

Karen Brown

I've been looking for an alternative for chanberry and maybe burnt red or black red from ak could be a close match

Sergio perez valdes

Hey sergio, will there be a pdf guide for this?

Rik Jurriaans

"Cast shadows" or "casted shadows" is the proper term, I believe :)

Sandau

Do you have an alternative for the "Chanberry"? It is no longer listed on the Spanish Vallejo website so seems discontinued (85.043) Thanks!

ST

Colors are from AK 90% , you can see the name of the color from each mix on the bottom bar :)

Sergio Calvo Miniatures

A shaded outline that appears behind an object or text and creates the illusion of depth. Drawing shadows to represent more powerful from the light over him

Sergio Calvo Miniatures

Hi! On this project I'm playing with AK 3rd gen acrylics, less some colors at beginning or end from Vallejo or other brands. 90% of them from AK :)

Sergio Calvo Miniatures

Hi. thanks for taking time to clarify. I thought I was missing out on this new fruit, chanberry 🤪

Neil Brown

Hey there, I'm not Sergio but I know where most of these colours come from, most of them in this video they are AK 3rd Generation Acrylics, however the "Chanberry" one is just a mispelling of Cranberry from the Vallejo Arte Deco range, which is hard to find outside of Spain.

Joe Edwards

Also, i don't recognise alot of these colours. It would be helpful to know what range they're from so we could at least look for a suitable alternative colour, we might already have. For example, I can't find chanberry anywhere, apart from Home Depot!

Neil Brown

You keep saying drop shadows. What is this? do you mean dark shadow?

Neil Brown

Hi. Love these videos and excited for more. Gives me the confidence to attempt my copy of this mini. One question - is there a list of the paints you use at all anywhere to go with this? (As in the product range etc?) Thanks :)

Robert Russell

It's a question he's often answered, quietly hehe. The black and white primer gives you a quick sketch of the volumes and middle areas, shadows and areas to highlight even more. Apart from that, it gives you a solid colour on white area that has a brightness that in the shadow area it doesn't have, on the contrary it gives you depth :)

Sergio Calvo Miniatures

What I am having trouble putting my finger on is if we do preshading prior to painting why do we cover it all up with solid paint?

Darrin Dueck

I love it, Sergio! Excellent work! :) I am eager to see the next chapter! ;)
