The Victoria Clipper is also really expensive if I remember correctly! Sadly no videos about Victoria or Vancouver this time around, but I'm sure I'll be back!

2022-10-16 23:54:09 +0000 UTCYou could have saved all that transferring by just taking the Victoria Clipper from Seattle to Victoria, though that wouldn’t be as interesting! In August I took a convoluted route between Vancouver and Seattle which involved the SkyTrain+bus to Tswwassen, BC Ferries to Swartz Bay, a cab to Victoria (I know, but I wanted more time in Victoria plus didn’t want the hassle of getting small Canadian change for the cash-only BC Transit fare), and then the Victoria Clipper to Seattle after 6 hours touristing in Victoria. The Amtrak Cascades wasn’t running, so I decided to do something a little more interesting than the substitute bus (amusing as it was that it was named Cantrail - “Can’t Rail”) to connect from the Vancouver endpoint of the VIA Rail Canadian to the Seattle origin of the Empire Builder (with some time in Vancouver and Seattle in between). Hoping to see some videos of Victoria and Vancouver at some point soon…
