[EARLY VIDEO] Detroit Lakes - Least Used Amtrak Station in Minnesota

This is the most Minnesota video I've ever put out.

[EARLY VIDEO] Detroit Lakes - Least Used Amtrak Station in Minnesota

The strip mall you pointed out on the edge of town has a giant Chinese restaurant where we would stop at when we went to Detroit lakes for school activities

That was interesting - glad you finally got to experience the dining car! Is always of my favorite parts of the trip, and back when I did overnight coach they allowed coach passengers to pay for meals. They didn’t have “poor bids” back then, though, so I was stuck with coach until I could afford a sleeper. Speaking of which, they actually just started allowing coach passengers to pay for meals again on the “traditional dining” western routes, though it is a bit pricey… A bummer Jefferson Lines canceled your coach bus without notice, and on top of that won’t give you a refund. That seems illegal (or at least it should be). Indian Trails (the local intercity bus carrier here in Michigan) tends to do that too in winter weather, even with their shorter Ann Arbor-Detroit/DTW airport routes. Speaking of which, when are you coming to Michigan? Would love to be there for the least used station, Detroit QLine/People Mover stuff, and Tunnel Bus to Canada. You should also come here to Ann Arbor and ride University of Michigan campus buses - very frequent and no student/staff IDs required.
