Transparency/Great Race/Life Update!

Hey everyone, I just wanted to let you know that I updated the wording of the Patreon about page slightly to reflect the fact that I've officially started my Real Job! At this time I'm inclined not to share where I'm working publicly, but rest assured it's a position that's right up my alley - but the point is that I'm making a salary now, so I wanted to change the about section to better reflect where the money from here ends up. Right now it's basically all Great Race to New York back payments to Sam, who actually bought the tickets when we did it last summer (it was a REALLY expensive expenditure!). We're talking about potential projects to do if New York is successful, and I'm really grateful for the fact that the money that comes from here can help fund more big things like that!

Speaking of which, Great Race to New York is going to be a 5-part series that will premiere at 7 PM every Wednesday in May. The plan is to release Part 1 to everybody tomorrow, but Part 2 will release to Patreon at the same time; from there, Patreon will get every video a week early. So even though there won't be an early Part 1, you'll get early access to every other part a week early!

As far as the future goes, I get pretty crappy vacation my first year working, unfortunately, but I calculated that I have, like, 46 weeks worth of videos in the backlog, including some heavy hitters like The Trolleybus Video, a Boston Diner Video, and Great Race to Germantown - that means I should be able to keep the content juices flowing, especially coupled with adventures I can do on weekends and holidays and whatnot. Plus the monthly bonus content on here, of course!

I think that's all I have to say...thanks so much as usual for your support, and I hope you're all as excited for Great Race to New York to come out as I am!

(also I promise I haven't forgotten about the "100 patron livestream" from way back - I'm gonna do it with Jeremy, we've just had trouble getting our schedules to align to make it happen!)
