In the following essay, I meant Patreon comment, I will be talking about the cultural definition of "rural" in American transit... But seriously, one thing I've thought for a while is that the definition of "rural" or even "suburban" when talking about US transit has much more to do with culture than with infrastructure. In the US, it is taken for granted that towns and metros from 50-300,000 people are too small to have transit, and that its really only at the level of a million person metro that real mass transit begins. But a lot of that is just cultural habit. So among many other things, this video shows that when people are used to using transit, and when the transit is good, pretty small towns can have real transit!
