2024-06-08 03:36:12 +0000 UTCI'll always be fascinated by the fact that the only modern-looking transit I seem to see in the US is airport people movers... Maybe the (incredible!) bus foaming skewed my perception a bit though, they're certainly not the youngest ones around.

I've been fascinated (horrified) about these every since I heard what they are (I only know double decker trains from Europe). What a waste of seating space to have that slot down the middle, all because they could not think of a more efficient way to check people's tickets but not allow them to run down the stairs to avoid the ticket inspector.
