[EARLY VIDEO] Fastest (Pittsburgh) T Rider Alive

We just had to do it for the bit. Still gotta make the thumbnail before next week...

[EARLY VIDEO] Fastest (Pittsburgh) T Rider Alive

The bus lines you pointed out on the map are actually dedicated busways, built on old railroad rights-of-way, which are each host to multiple bus routes. It's a bit of a blast to speed through the city at rush hour at 50+ mph while surface road traffic is crawling. Re: PGH busways, ask Caleb ... he's actually done his research on this. :) We just moved to Pittsburgh, but were able to take the Brown Line totally randomly on one of our first visits five years ago. The views coming down the side of Mt. Washington are insane!

"Such a jank system in the most lovable way" is the perfect way to describe it!

Miles in Transit

This was such a nostalgia trip for me, I had family who used to live just a block from the T in Beechview, the neighborhood with the steepest street. Whenever I would visit, I would ride the T into downtown for long excursions exploring the city, it was wonderful. I distinctly remember the streetcar stop immediately after Fallowfield Station, that was always so funny to me. It's such a jank system in the most lovable way. Also, I think back then the Duquesne Incline didn't accept Port Authority fares, so I'm glad to see they've improved on that front!
