[EARLY VIDEO] New Jersey Made Its Transit Free...We Took Advantage (in the dumbest way possible)

I'm sure many of you were wondering what we did for the NJT fare holiday...

Im from NJ so seeing you walk around Fort Lee was great 😂 Reminded me of home while I'm in college

Great to see Jeremy back in a video! Had the pleasure of meeting him in Edinburgh, Scotland, back in May đŸ™ŒđŸŒ

Ha!

Miles in Transit

The joke at 00:28 about booking "a trip to Los Angeles on five different characters" was coincidental, because I was thinking that this video should be about "New Jersey made public transit free...so I took it to the Alaska Marine Highway". So Jeremy was thinking kind of the same thing as I was! And then I saw the connection even more, because you saw Guttenberg, and that looks a lot like Whittier!

Oh, snap, that was the case! A reasonable enough request to be for shoppers only 🛒, at least. A shame they got rid of their shuttle, but I suppose NJT does the equivalent job just as well. And yep, those views are amazing. It took too long to realize that across the river was Columbia University and 116th St, didn't realize Mitsuwa was that far north đŸ€Ł.

Years ago Mitsuwa ran their own direct shuttle from PABT, and the one time I rode it they were very insistent that you weren't to be using it for reasons other than shopping. Sadly they got rid of it at the end of 2014. Great view of Manhattan if you got the right seat in the food court, too.

also 7:41 wait you guys did this on sunday? i was also around there on sunday (biked across the GWB to NJ, my citibike stopped working, so i called them and they said to leave it in NJ so i took NJT back) i was on like a 2:20ish 188 back to NY, must have missed you by a couple minutes

Honaj Transit

good job jeremy, you have converted miles into a palisades foamer

Ah, good memories of almost this exact trip! Started at the PA, stopped at Mitsuwa on Archer Street for the groceries, then got the next 188 across the GW back to Manhattan. Or on the adventurous days, would purposely wait for the 158 to Fort Lee, walk to Bridge Plaza and slug across the GW Bridge in a stranger's car so they could get the carpool rate, back when that was a thing 😆. They'd even drop you off closer to the A train entrance. Ye olde days~.

Alive for all this beautiful NJ content that you've been blessing us with.
