So Jeremy was thinking kind of the same thing as I was! And then I saw the connection even more, because you saw Guttenberg, and that looks a lot like Whittier!

A shame they got rid of their shuttle, but I suppose NJT does the equivalent job just as well. And yep, those views are amazing. It took too long to realize that across the river was Columbia University and 116th St, didn't realize Mitsuwa was that far north đ€Ł.

2024-09-05 15:09:44 +0000 UTCYears ago Mitsuwa ran their own direct shuttle from PABT, and the one time I rode it they were very insistent that you weren't to be using it for reasons other than shopping. Sadly they got rid of it at the end of 2014. Great view of Manhattan if you got the right seat in the food court, too.

Started at the PA, stopped at Mitsuwa on Archer Street for the groceries, then got the next 188 across the GW back to Manhattan. Or on the adventurous days, would purposely wait for the 158 to Fort Lee, walk to Bridge Plaza and slug across the GW Bridge in a stranger's car so they could get the carpool rate, back when that was a thing đ. They'd even drop you off closer to the A train entrance. Ye olde days~.
