It's decent, has reasonable frequency in the system core, and connects many important destinations including both major hospital complexes and all three major sports venues. It's one of the things I miss about St Louis (the other being Ted Drewes).

2025-01-27 22:59:51 +0000 UTCMiles, I just wanted to say I always appreciate your videos and in particular your coverage of the many different transit systems in the USA, from spectacular to unknown to anywhere in between (Metrolink fits somewhere in that middle). Far too often online and in real life (and even otherwise socially conscious people!) I see discussion about how the US has “no public transit” or that what does exist is “unusable,” when I feel like just a lot of people aren’t aware of what’s around them and have never/would never give it a shot. I feel like “Transit YouTube” gives so much coverage and discussion of European, Asian, and a well-known handful of North American systems, but very little to smaller to mid size US city or rural transit. Keep doing what you’re doing, please, as I feel like it’s super important that we change this culture in the US and let people know that transit in the US isn’t horrible or unusable - it can actually be pretty darn great.

The current Terminal 1 was designed by Minoru Yamasaki, who would go on to design JFK airport and the original World Trade Center towers. As TWA consolidated operations there as one of its main hubs, the airport added more and more capacity, eventually building Terminal 2. That demand dried up as American bought TWA and moved its hub operations elsewhere in the early 2000's. In the meantime, Southwest began adding flights to Terminal 2, eventually making it one of its regional hubs. So now you have the odd situation where Terminal 1 is underutilized while Terminal 2 is at capacity. A plan is underway to consolidate the two terminals back into one large terminal, with construction anticipated in 2-3 years. Anyway, I digress. Welcome to the Lou!
