Haha, I'm sorry!! It's a good way to get the videos to a reasonable length!

This video has a big section about one of my least favorite parts about travelling: never knowing how strict or lenient companies/agencies are going to be. The bus let you on and allowed you to pay at the next station, but if you aren't local and haven't taken that bus before, you don't know what the local customs are. When it comes to time and money, I never know when things will be super strict, or when the bus driver will just say "No big deal, you don't need to pay, and here is a free cookie, too!"

Great vids as always! I agree with Aleena's vexillological judgments. Happy Holidays!!!

What's the cutoff though? Should you be able to buy a ticket for an intercity bus 15 minutes before departure when our Orleans Express bus left, or should ticket sales stop by then? Not everyone's booking days in advance, so at the very least the company should make it clear when the sales cutoff is...Maritime Bus makes it very clear, for example, when a stop is a flag stop that requires booking two hours in advance.

I disagree about "buses should never be leaving early". These buses (other than DRL) are reservation only so if everyone with a ticket is already aboard, you should leave early.

Geez, I'm glad we got to just hop on a bus and let someone else drive for us, even if it was a hell of an effort to get on!

I had the exact same experience on the ferry. Zero sleep and then had to drive 10 hours. On the way back we got a room and it was great. Next time see if you can get to Gros Morne National park on the west coast. Love love NFLD!

Such a shame :( Especially since their network is quite thorough otherwise - although I'd love to see service to Yarmouth and St Stephen too.

I used to regularly take Maritime bus between Montréal and New Brunswick and I am so sad they haven’t brought it back since discontinuing it in 2020! It got a lot of ridership. Once a year since they’ve discontinued that route I call to ask if they’re going to bring it back soon and the answer is always no :(( This year the person on the phone didn’t even know that there used to be a Maritime bus to Montréal.
