That's just his eyes. In canon, they have a prismatic, almost iridescent effect. (Which will be described from another POV in a later chapter.) There's magenta with undertones of blue and green. When he's experiencing psychosis, the eyes dilate. (I guess they should have been dilated in this picture.)
