Yeah, I found it hilarious when Bob was reading River’s look for using “cheap fabric and tassles” but then on Scarlett’s look spoke along the lines of ‘it’s not about the fabric, it’s about the connotation of wealth’. If that’s the focus, River was fkn royalty! When she stepped out I immediately got wealth and opulence. It shouldn’t be about how much money you spend on the look but whether it represents the theme well while looking good. Honestly, River won the episode for me, I feel like she should 2 or 3 wins at this point (Dragaton and Girl Group). 😂

I have to disagree with the River Medway look opinions. If scarlett looked expensive for evoking opulence then River was doing the same thing. Just because it doesn't draw from western pop culture doesn't mean it is not of value or not expensive. I feel the look in the context of east Asian garments is instantly recognizable as expensive and regal. Whether or not the fabric she used was genuine/expensive doesn't really matter because she evoked expensive for me at least.

I have no idea why the judges and other people didn’t correct Scarlett when she said, “No wires hanging ever” and she did that both times. It would’ve tickled me if after she said on the runway defending herself that she wanted to use that line to have Ru or Michelle put her in her place.
