Women Blazer

Garment reference: No reference to specific garment/brand. But I do look at random image searches for some detail.

Bodice: Bunka textbook 1, bunka style bodice block

Jacket instruction: Bunka textbook 4, tailored jacket.

Fabric: Woven. I use wool. In my opinion, even if you use the correct fabric, you can never achieve the smooth tailored look as the real garment because the real garment has linings and further shaped by ironing and steam.  I did not use any steam on this garment, but you can try.

Not shown in video: Surgeon cuff. Buttons. Welt pocket. I also incorporate the dart below the pocket into sideseam. Other minor adjustments.

Notes:

- A tailored jacket/blazer is one of the garments which is very complicated to make from scratch. I don't expect anyone to follow along in this video. Just use the jacket block in the library.

- Bunka instruction for the jacket is definitely not beginner friendly. The instruction is cramped in just a few pages. The diagram is complicated and cluttered. What makes thing worse is this is a translated book, and the translation is not good enough. But, if you take times and endure the headache, you will appreciate their method.
