Basic toile: Men Cotton Shorts
Added 2024-05-12 10:51:44 +0000 UTCAs a beginner, I have a l lot of trouble sewing the waistband casing. In the end, I have to increase the waistband seam allowance so that I have more space to work with.
In this pattern, the waistband pattern is separate from pants pattern. It should be easier if I make them one-piece.
I use the 3 cm depth elastic band for the waistband.
Although the sewing is crappy, it fit well. If not because the fabric is awful (the cheapest knit that I find), I can totally make this my daily wear.
You can download the pattern here. You may need to adjust the seam allowance as needed. because this is knit garment and the waistband is elasticated, you don't have to worry too much about sizing. However, if you want to try different sizing, you can replace the measurement with one of these measurement files.
