Men Nylon Jacket

Reference garment: Adererror Black & Blue Milos Jacket

Basic block: Aldrich Flat Kimono Block. The orginal instruction has built-in seam allowance at certain part. I adjusted the values so that I don’t have to remove the built-in allowance afterward.

Collar: Loosely based on Aldrich “standing straight collar”

Fabric: Woven. Nylon.

Not recorded: The stylelines/panels are just "cut and sew" and merging at some parts. Pockets, changing the fabric, topstitch, puckering, piping, trim etc. If your design is asymmetrical, you first need to “disable linked editing” on the patterns involved.

Sketchfab preview.

Download link for 3D files (expire after a month).

Download link for basic block. The folder name is "Thomas - Aldrich - Flat Kimono Block 240629"

The drawcord in this is a obj model I made in blender, that I import as trim. Maybe you can download similar trim from Clo library

How to add the draw cords? I’m making a jacket with the same feature

Streaming would be a really dope approach. I do think it’s useful to show more of the insights to the projects you do beyond the basic blocks for those who are a little more advance and want some more in depth detailing to complex finishes.

Very unlikely for this one because I did not record it. Just a lot of trial and error to get the right stylelines matching the actual jacket. Editing the video for the whole process if very time consuming so for the next garment I planned to just record everything beyond the basic block real time including all the back-and-forth trial and error. I think it is a good compromise you guys can still see what I do while not much extra time required for editing. But it will be hours of footage. I may as well just stream it, maybe.

Any plans to share the full process for Patreon members?
