V-neck Collar Jersey

Reference garment: Puma King Jersey

Bodice instruction is modified from ESMOD men "bodice block without dart for knit" (p40). My main modification is to simplify the shoulder seam so that it is easier to draft the raglan sleeve later (the original block has the shoulder seam shifted to the front by 2 cm).

Sleeve instruction is from ESMOD men โ€œpivoted kimono sleeveโ€ (p322).

I cannot find any guide for such collar, so this is my own best guess to construct it.

Detailing raw recording here.

The original basic blocks with set-in sleeve are available in the shared folder. Look for the following folders.

###### FOOTNOTES ######

#1. Somehow the original ESMOD method to determine the armhole give an unusually large armhole for me. So, I use the value obtained from Aldrich instead.

#2. Measurement while the avatar in A-pose is about 1.5 cm shorter than while the avatar in attention pose because the marking moves (it does not move in Style3D). Similarly in real life you should always take the shoulder length while the person is an attention pose because the shoulder bone marking (acromium) moves inward when if the arm is lifted. 1.5 cm difference does not affect the fit much but I found that it greatly affect the overall look of the garment. Generally, longer shoulder length is desirable because it give the illusion of broad shoulder.

#3. The armhole-curve does not necessarily need to touch the armhole-line, near enough is suffice. It is more important that it is perpendicular to shoulder-line. Slightly obtuse is acceptable but even slightly acute may look bad. But it does not matter much this time because we are making raglan sleeve which has no armhole seam.

#4. The pivot amount will determine the sleeve width and sleeve-cap-height. You may try different amount. A higher value will give a more tailored look (narrower width, higher sleeve-cap-height) but less mobility and comfort.
