0216 - Brittany
Added 2023-05-01 08:00:01 +0000 UTCWe begin our exploration of "Krusty Gets Busted" with this little imp and her Scooby-Doo-esque neckerchief. So fashionable!
Despite having a larger role than most of the characters we cover here, she isn't particularly memorable - this scene is mainly to introduce the Krusty/Bob dynamic up front. That doesn't stop Brittany from appearing a few more times though, such as when Homer accidentally attempts to leap over Springfield Gorge on a skateboard:
She can also be seen caught up in the yo-yo craze from season 3's "Bart the Lover", proving that she attends Springfield Elementary with Bart and Lisa.
I do enjoy the thought of some of you having to peer so closely at your screen to spot her in some of these shots, like a really low effort "Where's Wally?" book.
Bart and Lisa appear to show no excitement about one of their schoolmates being on TV - although Bart himself has little difficulty getting onto the same show at the end of the episode, so perhaps its a common occurrence in Springfield. Krusty's celebrity status fluctuates between "local clown" and "national icon" at times so Brittany's appearance here is either no big deal or the most important thing that has ever happened to her.
Nothing else important will happen to her on The Simpsons, at least.
