0232 - Radio Producer

I've peeked ahead and I'm afraid this episode doesn't have many particularly memorable new additions to our canon - this guy certainly never shows up again.
So now seems as good a time as any to dish out the trivia that "Some Enchanted Evening" was actually the first production episode of the series - but massive chunks of it were re-animated when the producers were unhappy with how it looked. This pushed it all the way to the end of the season, and even then you can see some of the wackier animation survive in the final episode.
Some of the original version can be seen here. It's crazy to see what the show almost was, it's hard to know if it would have survived if it looked like this. Radio producer seems to have come through the process unscathed, only to never appear again.

Yeah, that's interesting! I can't find a great deal about the production of the shorts, but I imagine the animation staff was very different from what was used on the show. It's like they established a look then went back to square one.
