A few fun facts about ravens for your Thursday:
- Ravens are the largest perching bird in the world.
- A raven's diet consists mainly of roadkill.
- Ravens can eat of to one-third of their weight at a time.
- Ravens have a vocabulary of around 20 sounds (unclear if "nevermore" is one of them, although they can imitate human speech.)
- Ravens have an IQ roughly equal to that of a 7 year old child.
- a group of ravens is called an "unkindness". This comes from them being associated with bad luck and a reputation for evil in many cultures.
