This character emerges mysteriously to offer Homer a job.

He feels like a sort of prototype Rich Texan, the wealthy southern gentleman who has the money to buy an entire sports team. In later episodes the Springfield Isotopes are owned by the Duff corporation, so this guy is never a relevant factor again. Unlike a few of the other fully named nobodies from this episode, Antoine does make a few other appearances:

In season three's "Stark Raving Dad". This crowd scene comes up often in our discussions - I'm starting to think the real episode that this episode was taken off streaming services is so they don't have to pay royalties to all these past obscure characters.

Here he is in the attempt to create the world's biggest human pyramid from season thirteen's "Sweets and Sour Marge", with different colouring - just near the top of the leftmost peak.

And this colouring is also used in season eleven's "Behind The Laughter", in a joke about the show's ballooning cast of characters:

He's at the top left again, but this rip is terrible quality. Computer, enhance!

This poster has come up a few times in my research, I'm hoping at some point I can go through every character in it! We're a while off from that though.
