Is it Myers or is it Meyers? This episode gives us both options. Sometimes names are multiple choice, baby!

This is the first of three appearances in which this character is voiced by Alex Rocco - his other two being "The Day The Violence Died" and "The Itchy and Scratchy and Poochie Show", in season 7 and 8 respectively. Myers appears occasionally between season 2 and 7, but he is voiced by Hank Azaria for minor appearances. Rocco passed away in 2015, and Meyers only appearance in the show since then has been for a collage celebrating 600 episodes.

(which probably doesn't really count.)

Itchy & Scratchy Studios is often used as a stand-in for Disney, but those parallels aren't drawn too closely in this episode (as a cartoon, Itchy and Scratchy bears more resemblance to Tom and Jerry or Looney Tunes here), so Myers does not appear to be a direct parody of any one Disney CEO (at the time of this episode, the Disney CEO was Michael Eisner.)

Because Meyers is such a major part of this episode, and a couple of others, I had assumed he had many more appearances than he does - perhaps it is a testament to Rocco's distinctive voice and performance that he made more of an impact than he should have.
