As much as Lionel Hutz gets repeat appearances and a lasting legacy, his seemingly long-suffering secretary does not get as much of a chance to shine after this. At least she gets a name, which is more than most!

Homer does not seem to recognise her, even though she was at Shotgun Pete's, the chapel where he got married a decade ago (as seen in season 3's "I Married Marge"):

The most notable thing about Della is that she marks the first appearance of Doris Grau as a voice. Grau was best known for voicing Lunchlady Doris (you see why she is named that?) up until her death in 1995. She was a script supervisor for the show in the early days, but her undeniably characteristic and unique voice got her a small handful of appearances on the show, as well as as a major character on The Critic later (also named Doris).
Della could have easily been a partner-in-crime for later Hutz appearances, but sadly this is all we'll see of her.
