It's not a "mistake", Snyder's name has not been established as Snyder yet. But Snyder is eventually the name that sticks, so this guy looks like a fool. A FOOL I tell you.
I went back and checked, he is not present in "Krusty Gets Busted" (our last major court case) and I peeked ahead to "Bart The Murderer" (or next major court case) and he is not there either. Perhaps he was fired for getting his boss's name incorrect. He doesn't look like he's especially enjoying his job anyway, so maybe it's for the best.
