BONUS! A lot of people. Like, a lot.

Eagle-eyed readers will notice we have yet to encounter any bonus characters in this episode so far. Well, here they are!

The intense back-to-back onslaught of Happy Sumo staff meant there was little room to spot obscure weirdos or alternate costumes in the meantime, but they show up a lot throughout the rest of the episode! Let's cover them all:

Patty is briefly shown as Richie Sakai's wife. Sakai's Wikipedia page does not say if he actually is or was married, and to pry too far into his personal life beyond that seems a little creepy, so I'm leaving this mystery unsolved. The businessmen can also be seen here.

We've covered so many of the Happy Sumo staff that it felt wrong to leave this guy out, even though I don't think we get a better look at him other than this shot:

The Fugu is the fish that almost takes Homer out. The "real" fish looks pretty faithful to the textbook, although he looks understandably angry that he is about to be chopped up. Also of note: a Simpsons character with a thumbnail! That's rare to see, and oddly unsettling.

The rest of the family look nice all dressed up, and it has almost become an accidental side quest to cover all their alternate outfits, like palette swaps in a fighting game.

Ring-a-ding-ding! Check out the luscious pair on this redhead. That's a quote from Burns, I'm not being creepy. And the "pair" is her ankles, according to him. I'm not sure if that makes his objectification better or worse. Let's move on.

And lastly, some of Moe's customers. Unlike with the children of Springfield Elementary, there seems to be little consistency with who comes in the bar, outside of the obvious regulars. I know we haven't covered Sam yet, we'll get to him someday. I'm just scared to kill him off like I did with Larry.
