We've got a bunch of bonuses in this episode - and a lot of them are at the start of our list, so we're gonna do two bonus posts this week! You lucky lucky people.
Given that the show we are covering is called "The Simpsons", we actually discuss the main family quite rarely. I find myself easing off when it's a family-focussed scene, knowing there's less possibility of a new character popping up, but I'm still determined to catch alternate outfits, such as Marge here while she displays remarkable flexibility.

When we are introduces to Patty and Selma at the DMV, we see a large queue leading in. Queues such as this are usually ample fodder for seeking out unknown characters, so let's have a look.

Isn't it interesting how many of these people we recognise now? Not just the obvious ones like Apu, Otto, Barney (who has a son?) and Hans, but also Mrs Gammel, Arcade Game Boss, Old Man, Mrs Winfield and Ms Albright. My hope is that someday, possibly soon, we'll get a crowd of misfits like this and be able to identify them all , but for now I've ticked off the three newbies in this queue.
Most noteworthy of these three is the lady on the right - Daria, who I should have covered back when we did season 1's "Simpsons Roasting On An Open Fire":

Back in the early days of the project I was less committed to non-speaking characters, so I didn't think to draw this named and prominently featured lady, something I absolutely would have done if she came up today. And...uh...I guess she did come up today, so consider this me fixing the timeline.
She's also already been seen in "Bart Gets An F", with blue hair:

And can be seen later in "The War of the Simpsons" and "A Streetcar Named Marge" (season 2 and 4 respectively.)

I feel like a massive weight has been lifted off me for finally being able to cover Daria. I'm sorry for standing on your neck. Excuse me. Excuse me.
Lastly, Martha, who I'll speak a little more about on Thursday:

She doesn't speak, but she is named, so we'll give her a moment in the sun here.
