This tiny mycological nightmare is known to be the bane of insects and small rodents within the deep recesses of forests. However, for travelers unlucky enough to be caught within the grasp its fungal trap, they may find themselves yet another meal for these experts of decomposition. At first glance, the cap of this mushroom appears quite ordinary; however, if a creature steps upon a nigh-imperceptible network of mycelium the mesh maw has spread across its hunting grounds, the top of the cap splits open and from within shoots a spongey net. Those trapped in this manner will find the material as tough to sever as iron, though the mesh itself feels as soft as skin. To make matters worse, the lattice grows to suit its target, capable of consuming towering prey that think themselves the top of the food chain. Mushrooms, however, always get the last word in the cycle of death.
