Zak- I have some variation of a 1 y/o pit puppy coming to me from San Antonio Shelter. She was on death row and I just saw too much potential to let her die so 500$ later she's on her way to San Francisco! I have a 1.5 year old pit and 2.5 year old shepherd mix who are both extremely friendly as is the rescue pit but I had a few questions about jealousy, hurt feelings and doggy dynamics. The big one for her first night here (tomorrow) is where should I have her sleep? My 2 are bed bugs, and we sleep together. I would start her in a kennel, but I'm afraid she'll feel less safe and more scared being separated. She's also had a hard week... was a true case of neglect/abuse, and is coming to me emaciated, just spayed, and had anal prolapse surgery a little over a week ago. I want to make her first few days as stress free as possible!!! THANK YOU ZAK!
