Exclusive Video Content Format

After a short abscence of doing actual work I am back preparing a first patreon series and continue editing the rail videos.

That first series will show you the process of taking an unreal asset pack from the marketplace and use Houdini to create a large scale scene  with its key components.

Depending on how interesting you will find this series we can take it to other content packs, utilize more assets for a more detailled scene or continue to the route of introducing AI to fill the world with life.

My initial thought was to use exclusive videos to open a new tier - but at the moment I feel the auditorium tier is more than enough - so my strategy is to wake interest in more people.

But for now I have a more simple question to you.

I always heard the opinion that one has to create very short fast paced clips to be more digestible for the viewer. Pluralsight even demanded that.

But I also see some content creators doing the opposite. Long videos of basically a full hour covering a whole chapter.

This doesn't have to be set in stone but I would like to hear your opinion.Would you prefer short clips handling one small topic at a time, e.h.

Option 1: short clips 5-10 minutes

clip 1: projects setup

clip 2: HDA setup

clip 3: initial input

...

clip {no idea - 28 maybe?}

OR

Option 2:

video 1: From Start to the finished street layout

video 2: Create Walls and Corners

video 3: Incorporate Sci Fi Wallparts hanging over sidewalk

One major difference is obviously the rate of publishing these videos. I aim to create at least 1 big video per month or several short ones. While I also release Rail videos this might start a bit slugish but over time these videos will be prioritized so that I can offer you more value here.

So what do you guys prefer?

Cheers

Dave
