I know how you feel about helping animals. I once found a mouse with a broken leg on the sidewalk and couldn't figure out how to help it, had to leave it behind. Still feel horrible about it because I knew I could have saved it if I'd been braver. Felt like a betrayal of the person I want to be. I've had my cat for 15 years now, she's finally showing her age. Slowing down, can't jump as much anymore. She's being more affectionate lately, which is bittersweet because I think she knows she only has a couple of years left at most. She greets me when I come home and she purrs when I pick her up and cuddle her. One thing she still does like a kitten is climb up on my shoulder, I'm thankful that she's small otherwise I'd probably have back problems. I keep asking her not to die when I'm not home, because I want to be there for her when it happens. I want to hold her and make her feel safe and comfortable. I want her last memory to be that she is loved. That's not really a happy pet story but it's what has been on my mind lately. I'm at peace with it but it still weighs heavily on my heart. I like that, though. I don't let myself feel things very often, I usually press it all down and lock it away, so to feel a love so strong that I have no choice but to experience the sadness that comes with it is cathartic. I'm gonna go hug my cat now.

Even more points if they chain them up to a tree. Completely f**king despicable. But let's not waste our breath on scum like that, let's focus on people that are the complete opposite of them! You're one of the strongest and kindest souls I know, and I hope the world will reward you for that. Hopefully sooner rather than later. Even though I'm not religious at all, I believe that good things happen to good people. Otherwise, there would no longer be any kind people in the world left, right? The "goodness gene" would've gone extinct, replaced by selfishness, bigotry and indifference. The fact that there are still compassionate, decent and benevolent humans among us means there's always a light somewhere. At least that's what I believe 💚 My family was always very much against having a bigger pet, when during a trip to the mountains, a certain black furball randomly came up to us... and melted all of our hearts simultaneously. We adopted Duke practically on the spot (which in retrospect was pretty irresponsible, but whatever). Even though he's a mix between a very small mongrel and flat coated retriever, he grew up pretty big (around 3/4 of the size of a regular retriever) and has been an integral part of our family for several years now. He loves cats, especially the one my grandmother is keeping, though the feeling couldn't be further from mutual. When we visit, it's always like a scene from a cartoon. Dog barking and running around, cat jumping over tables and shelves, breaking vases and tearing off wallpaper, grandma spinning around trying to keep track of what's going on. And everything in the span of 3 minutes - then the cat usually escapes. We tried to make them used to each other, by holding the cat and the dog and letting them sniff each other, but it always ended up with someone having their face scratched. I love dogs so much, and honestly don't really understand the appeal of cats as pets. Very few of them are social, and even fewer are cuddly. Which makes sense, since they're not pack animals. Maybe people like them so much, because their love/respect feels earned? Or maybe because they appear so dignified, that when they fumble they look that much sillier. catgirls and catboys get all the clout, but dogboys and doggirls is where it's at 😤

I just said you seem like a person who I couldn't talk to irl! also mentioning recess really brought back some memories, I might have to rewatch some of that as well. coming back on that question from last month, you're Q&A's are perfect background audio to do chores to, so tysm for getting me through countless dishwashes and laundries that I really wasn't in the mood for! I personally don't have a problem with the pricing, but I'll just see what changes you have in mind. A bit of streamlining of the tiers and perk probably won't hurt. Aminals! Spiders! love those little fuckers! there's a few webs out on my balcony I also just watch sometimes, prolly should name them at some point.. My apartment sadly doesn't allow me to own pets atm, I did used to have three cats at my last place tho and really hope that I can again in the future. There's two people I know who do a pretty similar thing to you, they have 7(?) pets who're all either really old or have some form of serious medical condition. I have a lot of respect for that, they're all very good boys and girls and deserve the world, even if it's not for long. 💜
