What's Next for SWADE Item Tables?
Added 2024-02-29 22:47:02 +0000 UTCI'm keeping an eye on v12 to test things out and see what new features I might be able to take advantage of. I'm also considering a couple of different ideas for new features, but I wanted to hear from you all if you think there is value in any of them and if there are other things you'd like to see in SWADE Item Tables that are feasible to implement.
The first is a similar tool for vehicles, which technically aren't Items, but instead are Actors. These would be presented in a table layout similar to the vehicles table in the core book.
The second is two additional applications: One for playable Archetypes that are included with modules (not to be confused with archetype Items for concepts like Iconic Frameworks in Rifts) and another for bestiary entries. I have no idea how these would be displayed yet.
As I said above, I'm open to other ideas or needs that might be appropriate for SIT, so feel free to share them. I can't promise whether or not they're feasible within the constraints of what Foundry or the system can do, but it's always worth it to see what might be possible.

Yeah, I can definitely look into that. I don't think that would be hard to do at all.

2024-03-03 18:58:09 +0000 UTCFrom my perspective vehicles do not seem that interesting. It's something that's very rarely used, and for these rare occassions, I'll probably prepare vehicle manually. For the archetypes- never used them, so I'm not really interested. I'm really unsure what do you mean by the bestiary part? If this is supposed to allow creating enemies using Item Tables, then it's working perfectly fine at this moment. I'm not sure what adjustments to current flow would you suggest to differentiate it from current flow? Generally speaking from my perspective Item Tables offer most of what I would expect from this module. Some time ago we talked about some additional changes to creating magic items, but IIRC this is something that you plan to revisit when SWADE module releases new version.
