2026-02-18 11:02:00 +0000 UTCThe BAU is a real department within the FBI, so some of it is based on reality, like the cases are based on real cases, but dramatised for the show. Some of the psychology will be out dated now, especially in terms of names for things, as you get to the more recent series, you'll see they adapt the language to fit the times etc.
