Am I Supposed To Punch Cthullu? (MHA SI): CH001

-CHAPTER 1-

-UNKNOWN POV-

As far as the eye could see, there was darkness. Not the muted darkness that engulfs your room when you shut the lights and close off the blinds but a true inky black void, where no surface, no dimension, and no sense of gravity or sound existed.

It was just darkness.

Yet as if it was a paradox, the darkness was not empty. For it had someone who been here for long enough to forget his own name, his own face and the face of his family members.

That guy was me. Just a nameless floating blob of a soul floating in the absent void and waiting for the time he would get out of here.

But to be honest, that hope had almost extinguished at this point.

He did not know how he got here. In the first place, he didn’t even know what “here” was. Just that this was another kind of hell that he wouldn’t really wish on anybody.

Slowly piece by piece, losing your identity and memories despite trying to keep them… And then the crippling sense of loneliness that is forced upon you. And the suffocating silence that can’t be filled by anything…

What was this if not hell? If he had to hazard a guess then he had died. He was a normal human from he was able to remember. He doesn’t know what he did, how he lived or how old he was but he knew that he was average.

Then one day, he had gone to sleep and woken up here, in this void.

Another problem was that there was no sense of day and night here, so even if he had tried he could not know how much time he had spent in this place.

It could be years, decades or a millennia even and he would have no way to know about it. Souls are immortal right? If that book- I’m having a hard time to remember the name of -was right.

To be honest that wasn’t anything new. His memories were fractured and filled to the bottom with blanks of all kinds. He knew what Theory of Relativity was for example but he had forgotten who had written it.

He knew what Nasuverse and FGO were- of all things. Yet he had forgotten the story and only remembered some of its characters and had a crippling emotion of loss of money whenever he thought about it.

It was truly a sad existence.

And so for him, an unknown amount of time passed by, not being able to tell one second from the other as he “lived” with the only thing he had carried with him here, his mind.

Then suddenly-

BLING! BLING! BLING! BLING!

Thousands of jingles assaulter my mind as a melody played out to my obvious shock and panic at the sudden sensation of hearing.

I had almost forgotten what this felt like… I gulped as my emotions felt erratic before I slammed them to the back of my mind as a golden light came to blossom before my soul form.

And as the golden light dulled, it revealed the thing before me was a huge golden wheeled lottery machine that shined in divine light and magnificence.

If I had legs, I would have bowed my head in front of such obvious divine object. Yet all I could do was look upon it and pray that it never moves away for its light embraced my form like a hug- protecting me from the grasping silent evil of the darkness.

And for the first time since I could remember, my memories were not fading away.

As I felt comfort for the first time in ever, the divine machine finally reacted as its divine words rung like a bell in my mind.

[Congratulations -Blank- Soul! You have won the Eon Chaos Lottery!]

Chaos… Lottery? I looked at it in confusion. After all, I did not ever remember putting my name or buying a lottery ticket for this… Yet who knows? After all, this machine could not possible be wrong.  And I had forgotten more things than I remembered.

Thank you, I guess? I tried to project this thought towards the divine lottery and to my surprise and happiness it worked!

[You are welcome! Your position has arrived at Third place! This means you have won the chance to be reincarnated and isekaied! As well as having the chance to roll the Chaos Gacha!]

[Do you accept?]

Hope bubbled in mind. Does it mean that I can be free of this place? I did not even care about the other rewards; after all just being free of this place would be enough of a boon for me. Being reincarnated and Isekai was just a cherry on top.

Yes! I sent those feelings at the wheel and it sent another mind-blasting thought at me as the wheel part of the machine came to life with a bunch of different colors before all of them turned to red and I got an ominous feeling.

[You can roll the Chaos Gacha for only three times and a perk awarded, but for every roll you must first roll a Curse- then depending on the level of the curse- from 1 to 20 -you would get a corresponding type of ticket going up to Legendary levels]

I gulped in fear as I stared at the all red wheel. I did not know what kind of man I was in my previous life but right now as I currently was, I would rather not take the risk of taking something that might be even worse than what I was currently hoisted with.

Some additional information about the Gacha downloaded into my mind, like ticket tiers, types of awards I could get from rolls, etc. If I was a normal person, I have no doubt I would at least a little spooked by all of this…

Yet, all this did was make me even more unwilling to roll this knowing the range it could go from. It could literally be a death sentence in some cases…

Um, do I have to roll it? You can just send me down to my new life! I would have no problems with that! I sent it towards the machine and in response it only sends one word.

[Roll?]

I internally sighed in helplessness. I guess I have no choice. And if I roll once, as long as I don’t get anything terrible off the bat- in which case I wouldn’t continue to tempt fate even further -then I will atleast roll it thrice.

Not rolling it really wasn’t a option as I didn’t want to spend the rest of my existence in this place. So I would have to risk it but I only prayed that it not be something terrible.

So with that thought I “grabbed” the lever on the machine and pulled it as I sent the confirmation to it. Roll!

1

I breathed a sigh of relief.

[Celebrity]

[You are great at drawing attention, whether you like it or not. People tend to notice you, and if you ask them to pick out someone in the crowd, they would pick you more likely than not. Can be useful for gathering fame, but the downsides edge out the positive.]

[+1 Bronze Ticket]

-Okay well that’s really not that bad. I wasn’t going to be turning into a spy or ninja anytime soon- hopefully –so this wasn’t going to really affect me in a day to day life.

Roll the bronze! I projected as the once fully red wheel turned into a mixture of many different colors- like a rainbow –and the wheel started spinning.

Finally coming to a stop at-

[Immortal Snail]

Common Familiar

An immortal snail, who knows what it wants and how it came to be. But one thing is for sure, it is immortal, even if you eradicated every quark of its being it would reform back to perfection in just a minute. It is biologically immortal too, immune to all sickness and ageing. But in the end, it is limited to the vessel of a snail.

Meh. It’s fine. I was kind of expecting to get world breaking powers but bronze was the lowest tier of ticket I could get.

Still an immortal pet was good too. Though I don’t know much about what a snail would like…

[Roll Curse again?]

I internally shrugged. Why not? Roll!

Once gain the wheel turns into a ominous all red and spins-

10

Uh-oh… I gulped. This might not be good…

[The Untitled Goose]

[You are haunted by the “Untitled Goose”, and the Goose has made it its goal to minorly inconvenience and harass you and the people around you. If killed or trapped, the goose will respawn in 1 hour in a random spot in a 2500m radius around you, and it can choose to teleport to random spot within 2500m radius of you as long as it is not actively observed. You can try to resolve this curse by appeasing the goose and taming the beast somehow, or if you acquire a means to sever its immortality.]

[+1 Gold Ticket]

-Or it could be. Who knew these curses would really be so harmless? This was inconvenient or even a little fun by my definitions. They made it sound like it was a death sentence or something.

And what were the chances that I would get a immortal pet and a immortal pest in just a few seconds of each? My luck truly works in weird ways.

Plus it gave me a gold ticket to boot!

[Conditioning]

Rare Ability

While this ability is active, your body continuously conditions itself, getting stronger as if working out and recovering at the same time. Allowing you to slowly reach the biological peak of your body over time. Also increases the efficiency of working out.

I nodded in satisfaction. I could make a career as a athlete now! Really, no matter what kind of world I was sent to, this would come in mighty use.

Now… Should I roll it again?

If the pattern follows… the next curse would be of an even higher tier than the last one… But so far most of them have been pretty harmless, why shouldn’t I go for another one?

Conclusion arrived, I nodded. Roll!

And like the falling guillotine’s blade… My fate was sealed as the wheel spin and lands on-

17

This wasn’t good... It was on the higher tiers isn’t it? I grimaced but at least it wasn’t a twenty. Now what is it?

The screen on the machine comes to life and my Curse is revealed to me.

[Invasion!]

[The universe you are inserted into is filled to the brim with aliens. From cosmic space gods to futuristic alien civilizations and space conquerors. And in for one reason or another, most of them will eventually try to invade Earth to either raze it to the ground to destroy it or to conquer it and make all humans their slaves- including you! Time to the apocalypse s ticking! Let’s hope you’re prepared when the skies cry red!]

[+1 Diamond Ticket]

I blankly looked at the message as my gut churns in horror. So I get out of this hell only to get sent to another?!

I could not even blame the divine machine for this because this was just my shitty luck at play- I had tempted Murphy too many times and now it was biting me in the ass.

Still, I could hopefully work with this. While I hadn’t gotten anything from the Gacha yet that could help me with this I also had one other option that could save everything.

Humanity itself.

Humans had once made enough nukes to destroy Earth ten times over after all. And that was just in a decade or two! And I’m pretty sure a dozen nukes at the same time would even bother a space god.

But the biggest obstacle in my was time and-

Let’s just hope people would believe me… I chuckled ruefully. Yeah, right. I would be called either a madman or a tin-foiled conspiracy theorist. No one would believe me even if I tried.

And that was the line this whole plan would be depending on. If people believed me. Which was going to be nigh impossible as it is.

So either I’ll have to find some other way of empowering humanity as a whole or-

Time to roll! I prayed to the all powerful Gacha gods and I sent the mental message to the machine as I pulled the lever. Roll!

The once all red wheel, turned multicolored like a rainbow. With hundreds of slices each supposedly carrying a single boon as the wheel started moving at unknown stopped before it slowed down and stopped on-

A golden yellow… The screen came to life as it showed what I had gotten-

[One For All]

Legendary Ability

My Hero Academia- You inherit the collective power of 9 people accumulated over multiple generations. One For All gives you incomparable Physical Enhancement but using too much can break your body, in addition, you can awaken the abilities of its past users, these quirks being Gearshift, Blackwhip, Float, Smokescreen, Dangersense and Fa-Jin.

This was good. This was excellent levels of good. It gave me the personal level of strength that could let me make cyclones and cause earthquakes with each of my punches after some intense levels of training. Make me god level being in front of normal people without even including the other six Quirks that came with this.

And it even synergized perfectly with Conditioning!

Yet…

Am I supposed to fist fight freaking Cthullu to death? If I had a body, I would be massaging my head in pain at that thought. I was kinda hoping for something more flashy or destructive… Like a explosion power. Or even lasers or something.

Though this was good too. After all, it could’ve been something much worse.

Not knowing what kind of aliens would be invading the world was also going to be a pain, I knew it. I would not say I was big alien geek but I had seen a lot of movies with the classic alien invasion plot and let me tell you, some of them I would not like to live in.

And the description of the curse really didn’t narrow it down for me. I guess I’ll just have to hope for the best and prepare for the worst.

And as the dark expanse behind me starts shrinking, I feel relief as the final message of the golden machine flickers in my mind as I am transported from this void and finally become free.

[Choosing Worlds with the best Affinity…]

[-World chosen!]

[Beginning reincarnation…]

[Choosing target for rebirth…]

[Target chosen!]

[Transporting soul...]

[Successful!]

[Please have a good journey! And may luck ever be in your favor!]

-3RD PERSON POV-

-Tsubasa Quirk Specialist Clinic, Mustafu-

“-You’re Quirkless kid.” Says the bespectacled doctor without mercy, like ripping off a band-aid.

Izuku Midoriya’s expression freezes. Neither the doctor nor his mother think this out of place because the news is just that shocking and heart wrenching- especially for his mother who knows the dream of her dear son.

Yet, that was not the true reason for this.

As Inko Midoriya starts babbling her worries to the doctor, neither notice the changes in expression and posture that young Izuku starts experiencing.

For Izuku Midoriya has just unlocked the memories of his past life…

A/N: My muse strikes again. I thought something like this would be pretty interesting. In fact this came from having a conversation with my friend about Superman Vs Darkseid which somehow devolved into a busted version of OFA versus Omni-Man. And then Borros from OPM. Then Galactus, then a Oozaru Saiyan, etc.

Of course, logically OFA would lose to most of them ten times out of ten but I have plans to make it much more powerful later on. Conditioning is just a pleasant surprise.

So yeah, expect many expies of famous cosmic villains to come. Though I’ll like to build up to the inevitable invasion so that Izuku isn’t a 4 year old and has a good (if basic) grasp of OFA.

Comment what other characters from other fandoms I should add? Both hero and villains.

Currently I’m thinking about adding characters from these- One Punch Man, DC, Marvel, Boys, WORM, Invincible, Pacific Rim, etc.

Though the main setting will still staying MHA, only some characters will be added. Also the Gacha will not be featured beyond this chapter for those confused.
