Hey my Busy Peeps,
I hope you and your Busy Pups are doing well. I’ve been quiet lately because I had a very bad migraine that lasted eight days. I finally had some relief this past Friday, and I took advantage of it.
If you peek at the first two photos, you’ll see Clover and Hannah being cute — but behind them is “the shelf.” This shelf had turned into a major catch-all. It was supposed to be moved out eight months ago, but life happened, and it slowly became a dusty, chaotic magnet for stuff.
So Friday? I tackled it. 🧹
It cost me a lot of PacePoints (my arm band clocked me at 25.2 before I even finished — I hit 29.9 before bed that night). But I was determined. Normally, I stay under my 8-point budget unless it’s a shower day, doctor appointment, or family event — but this was worth the push.
By Saturday, I was toast. My back gave out, my hip was weak, my feet were swollen, my heart rate was high, and my toes were numb — but I got it done.
Ryan helped me move the shelf out and rearrange some of the furniture. I moved a few things on my own. Clover’s crate is still in our room (she still loves and needs it), but now it tucks into a peaceful corner instead of dominating the space.
This new setup? It’s peaceful.
My nervous system can actually relax. The papasan chair is super comfy — I’m sitting in it as I write this. It gets me out of bed and gives me a sense of rhythm. The fall pillows are such a sweet reminder to stay grateful and grounded, even in hard seasons.
I’m grateful for my dogs, my space, and for you — thank you for being here and supporting me. 💛
The girls love the faux cowhide rug. They keep laying on it so cutely, and I couldn’t resist snapping photos.
I did rest after all of this (I promise 😅), but it felt good to finally make a dent in something that had been emotionally draining me for months.
What did you get up to this weekend? I’d love to hear what your busy life looked like lately — the wins, the mess, the ordinary moments that matter.
