Hello from sunny Portugal! I'm away on vacation, but before leaving, I rebooted project Skövde! It's been 347 years since the last video on this Swedish slice of rust.
We are going all out with the mighty E39 M5. It's going to be a long and arduous project, but as one my favorite cars, I am motivated to go through the entire car and make it better than it ever was.
I'll be away until beginning of January and once I'm back, we'll continue taking it apart and I'll explain what the plan is. :)

2024-12-28 07:38:37 +0000 UTCAnother great indicator of oil burning is ring wash, you can see how the carbon is cleaned off the sides of the piston where the oil is getting through and being burned as opposed to the center of the piston which is still full of buildup.
