Pax 3 vaporizer, better curing, overhaul to customer calls +++

Alright, where to begin... This is a big one! For starters, you can start vaping with the newly added Pax 3 vaporizer. Then there is the massive overhaul to the customers calling system, which was the result of the poll. Then there is not only a much needed upgrade to how curing works, but also rolling blunts and spliffs, as well as a bunch of other fixes. I even added a couple more edibles and swipeable paraphernalia.

• Increased chance of becoming addicted to speed

• Sims with former addiction traits are more likely to get re-addicted
• Fixed glitch where Sell Drugs failed on Holidays and events
• Fixed glitch where Customer List failed on Holidays and events
• Added declining alcohol effects on Parental Reactions
• Moved toggle on/off for customer calls to Phone

How it works

Vaporizer

To acquire the Pax 3 Vaporizer, go to the headshop on any computer and order it. It will show up in your Sims mailbox on the next mail delivery.

To use it, make sure you have a cured bud of any strain in your Sims inventory, click on the vaporizer and select "Smoke Weed". 

This works both sitting and standing.

Curing Weed

Previously this worked with a system of hidden buffs assigned to your Sim who did the curing. Meaning, only that Sim (or a different Sim with the same set of hidden buffs) could open the cured jars when they were finished curing. 

This time around the system is set directly to the object itself, meaning that:
1. Anyone (apart from straight edgers) can open the jars when they are done curing.
2. If you cure AK-47 in jar #1 at 1 PM and AK-47 in jar #2 at 4PM, jar #2 will not be finished curing until 3 hours after jar #1.

The curing times are the same as they were, but they will be on pause when your Sims are off the lot the weed is curing on.

When a jar of weed is done curing and your Sim is nearby said jar of weed, he or she will get a buff saying that "it smells like some buds are finished curing..." If you hover your mouse over the cure jars, they will show up with a "Done Curing" note when they are ready.

Rolling Joints/Blunts

This also previously worked with a system of hidden buffs, which made it very unreliable and very unstable.

As with the cure jars, the new system is tied to the objects themselves, so they will work on an individual basis, and will definitely disappear after 5 uses.

Customer Calls

This is how the new calling system works:

Weed Customers 

• Days: Monday through Sunday
• Calling times: from 11AM to 11PM

MDMA Customers

• Days: Friday through Sunday
• Calling times: Around the clock

Speed & Cocaine Addicts

• Days: Monday through Sunday
• Calling times: Around the clock

Speed & Cocaine recreational users 

• Days: Friday through Saturday
• Calling times: from 3PM to 4AM

If you have a cocaine or speed customer that starts calling in the middle of the week or the middle of the night for that matter, they are definitely addicted to whatever you're peddling.

If you find them annoying, accept the call and choose "Remove as Client", they will stop calling you (and disappear from your customer list).

Wait a few weeks until they have sobered up, call them over for a chat and choose "Regain Client", now they should call you up like normal Sim beings again.

Cocaine & Amphetamine addiction

If a Sim gets addicted to cocaine or amphetamine they will get a trait saying they are addicted to the substance.

If they manage to kick the habit they will get a trait saying they are former addicts of the substance.

If a Sim with a "former addict" trait decides to do some lines of the substance they were previously addicted to they are twice as likely as anyone else to become addicted again.

Other

If you want to toggle off customer phone calls from now on, you can find the option under the Dealing tab of your phone at the very bottom. It is called "Mute/Unmute Customers". No more rummaging through those settings to toggle it off.

There was a glitch that caused checking the customer lists or calling Sims up to sell drugs to fail whenever there was a holiday going on that day. That is fixed now and everything is working smooth as butter.

Last but not least, for the edibles, take note that your Sim has to be flirty in order to make the heart-shaped weed cookies. Other than that it works just like it always has been.

Installation Instructions

• Delete all the old Basemental Drugs files from your Mods folder.
• Download Basemental Drugs v1.4.5.68
• Unzip Basemental Drugs v1.4.5.68
• Place the unzipped files in your Mods folder
• Remember to delete your localthumbcache.package
• If you experience issues with Buying or Selling - place bothofthefiles directly in your Mods folder.
