No, I don't think it should add fame, but should maybe add to reputation if witnessed by a third party. If someone wants to make an infamous drug dealer, you can already do that by pursuing fame while dealing drugs.

I think it is a good idea to a good direction.... And losing fame points is a great Idea IMO, but it depends on the career I suppose. Some peoples fame a fortune came from being a "Rebel", take Charlie Sheen for example

Is there a way that you can make negative Fame points... Like somebody mentioned earlier the cartel. Yeah they be famous but not for the good reasons.

Look at famous drug dealers in real life: Escobar, El Chappo, etc.

If witnessing the deal caused a negative reputation reaction it might work. I wouldn’t want the swooning and stuff though

So I think this would be a great feature if it mirrored like famous drug organizations or kingpins and how society reacts to them (fear / idolize). Maybe if you could have like a famous posse / gang or something (I guess this could be achieved with clubs or the entourage feature)....I don't think that is a realistic goal to be able to properly implement this in a way that makes sense so even though I clicked yes, if there isn't a cool way to integrate it then it's probably best to leave it <3 plus it's not a feature I think most of us NEED or are dying to have ^^^^ The celebrity rehab mentioned above sounds like a nice addition. Whatever you decide will be dope tho

It would be cool if the type of fan was restricted to drug addicts, and the paparazzi were law enforcement staking you out. Outside of that, no.

You can add a MOB element then them being famous in their neighborhood would make sense. Everyone respects the godfather even regular citizens. You can definetly make that work. Add a hand kissing action.

Breaking Bad style through a business? That would be great but a huge amount of work surely?

I think it would be okay, if you can disable the fans.

That's also a good idea. But it might be redundant as it seems as long as you are seen around them enough you will get some interactions pop up that can boost your fame just by socializing with them, so people could choose that way to venture on the Road to Fame

What if building a celebrity clientele and dealing exclusively to them boosted fame? But "ordinary" client sales do not..? Just an idea. Than you people choose which type of dealer to play.. ;-)

I like the idea - the swooning fans may be a little weird but hell even serial killers have fans/groupies these days - can always use the option to retire from the limelight if it's not something you want

For sure some of it should be I agree that it wouldn't be the best if the drug dealers had swooning fans but a celeb rehab and positive and negative reps would be amazing so realistic!

I think it would be an interesting twist. There are famous drug dealers in the world now, cartels and such. Why can't your sim become a drug lord? Maybe have bodyguards and such while he/she launders their money and sells drugs to the masses?

Also possibly a VIP rehab that costs extra and gives typical ‘spa’ mood buffs/takes less time and that could alter reputation back the good way after using drugs put it the bad way?

It's a good point and also one of the reasons I wanted to hear you guys' opinion on the matter before deciding on anything

It won’t be realistic at all, it takes so long now to get customers that I’ve given up selling, trying to get through all the conversation while the other sim is wandering around doing crap and now that my sim is being crowded by fans constantly it’s even worse. I miss the old selling!

Eh, I think I'd prefer something involving drug use being tied to reputation.
