Bust The Dust Kit
I liked the idea of having to vacuum clean your house, as it adds an additional bit of micro managing, but there is a few things to this pack that made it uninteresting to the point of it not being playable for me personally. Therefore I added a new Optional package for everyone who has the Bust The Dust kit installed and want it to be more realistic and more aligned with Basemental Drugs.
Dust Accumulation
First and foremost, the accumulation of dust from this kit is ridiculous. It takes hours before your house has dust all over and is filled with silly bunnies (more on them later). If you want to slow down the speed of dust accumulation, head over to the Basemental Settings by clicking any Sim > Drugs > Settings then click "Bust The Dust".
From this sub menu you can adjust how quickly dust gets accumulated.
- Normal Accumulation = How Maxis intended
- Slow Accumulation = Approximately 1 day before it gets dusty
- Slowest Accumulation = Approximately 2 days before it gets dusty
Sparkles
With the kit, a clean house is filled with sparkles. Like.. sparkly animations that pop up all over the place all the time. I felt this was silly so I removed those.
Dust Bunnies
Speaking of silly... Having these bunnies all over is (at least to me) incredibly immersion breaking, so what I did with these little buggers is to only have a chance of them spawning if a Sim nearby is tripping on a heavy dose of either Ayahuasca, Shrooms or LSD. Furthermore, they can only be interacted with by the Sim that is tripping, as to emulate other Sims not being able to see them at all. Personally I feel like this is the only way they make sense to me.
I have also removed some of the interactions from them, like the overpowered "find me a valuable item please" and "befriend" option, as the former was as mentioned, overpowered, and the latter doesn't make sense as this option will keep them around after cleaning up the house, but with this optional package they will get removed once a Sim comes down from a trip.
Life Without Bunnies
Assuming your Sim isn't tripping 24/7, this pack is actually pretty darn sweet without those bunnies and the dust accumulation tuned to slow. Houses looks dusty eventually and you can enjoy dirty environments with dust particles in the air for your grittier lots without being distracted by silly rabbits.
Other
I made some additional tweaks to pregnant Sims and drinking, as it is now they shouldn't be able to autonomously drink alcohol what so ever, whereas with the last version of it they were just excluded from autonomously ordering drinks.
Venue List
To make sure this works you need to download the updated Basemental Drugs venue list provided in this post. If you have Basemental Gangs installed, please delete that venue list and install this one instead, I recommend installing this venue list in a separate folder directly in your Mods folder called: Basemental Venue List
The reason I don't recommend you having it in your Gangs folder is that I will keep the venue list separated from the Gangs mod from now on, as it doesn't make sense uploading a whole new version of Gangs just due to some minor changes to that Venue List.
If you already have this Venue List installed from the previous venue list update you don't need to update it.
Choose one of these 2 installation methods. Not both.
Basemental Drugs Installer (WINDOWS ONLY)
- Delete all the old Basemental Drugs files from your Mods folder.*
- Download this Basemental Drugs.exe file.
- Run the Basemental Drugs.exe file.
- Choose which Optional Packages you want included.
- Delete your localthumbcache.package
* If you installed from the installer previously, you can delete the old files by launching the file called unins000.exe in your Basemental Drugs folder.
Basemental Drugs Zip (WINDOWS OR MAC)
- Delete all the old Basemental Drugs files from your Mods folder.
- Download the Basemental Drugs zip file.
- Unzip the Basemental Drugs zip file.
- Place the files in a folder titled Basemental Drugs in your Mods folder.
- Delete the Basemental Drugs zip file.
- Delete your localthumbcache.package

There is in fact nothing in this patch that touches in on any of Drugs and/or Gangs features. Even though Drugs and Gangs might show up in the LE, there's a high chance of it just being script injectors that is touched along the way of creating the LE. Does not necessarily mean that they are the actual cause of the LE. But, like I said, it is better to head over to the support channel to send the LE's over so we can look at them for you and help you out with them. The links to the support channel is in the bottom of the post you are commenting on.

For instance, LMS has her MoreBuyableVenuesList.package (which I'm not using) but also an extra _DestinationAddon.package venueslist file (which I currently am using). And Zerbu has a file called Changes to Existing Venues.package, separate from his venuelist. It all starts to get a bit confusing even after reading your venue-list explanation, since everybody claims to have everyone else's venues in their list, but nobody mentions these 'extra' venue add-ons.

I thought it was just too fast, and, as you said, immersion breaking. Now, if only we can shorten down the vacuum time. The maid came over and worked a 12 hour shift, vacuuming the entire time, and leaving "disposable" dust all over the house. He vacuumed the hall for 12 hours and then started flirting with Penny. What a waste of 50 simoleans! He must have worked too hard, because he didn't show up the next day. And why doesn't the robovac work, huh, EA? Oh, my bad...wrong creators. You're the one who fixes things...I like you. Thanks again, tho. You just saved the kit.

Quite a bit better than soon Basemental and the read through your options made my eyes go all misty, 'frying balls with ones dust bunny friends' - I will name him snozeberry bob. How about the option to rename them "ghost turds" in haunted houses? Maybe a mesh swap for those. I am Grateful for your work ethic - back to Steam to purchase the kits now.
