Patch Day
Added 2023-07-18 06:35:42 +0000 UTCYou know what time it is... Patch day is upon us yet again. Today (07-18-23) we'll get the pre-patch for the Horse Ranch Expansion pack. There's no way of knowing for sure how badly this patch might break mods, I suspect it will break quite a lot of gameplay changing mods, mine included, but that is just my slightly uneducated guess.
So, what should you do on your end to ensure that you don't mess up your saves or game in general today?
You got three options. Two of them are great, one is horrible.
Lets start with the horrible one first.
Option 1)
You don't do anything at all. Download the patch, enable all your Mods and keep playing with the extreme likelihood of your game not even loading (because of your UI mods), all doors having vanished (because of your Drugs mod) and so on and so forth... I told you it was a horrible option.
Option 2)
If you are playing through the EA app, click the menu with the three horizontal lines in the top left corner of the app, then select Go Offline so the game doesn't automatically update. Then you wait for your favorite Mod authors to let you know if either their mods are still safe to use or if they need updating. If they need updating then you update, if it's safe then you can keep playing with it.
Option 3)
You take all your Mods and CC out of your Mods folder, place them in a temporary folder and start up a new save game without Mods, so you don't override your Mod saves. Then you do the same waiting for Mods to be repaired game as described in Option 2.
Trust that I will be working my ass off to get my mods up and running again as soon as Basementally possible, first the Patreon versions, then the public ones.

hi there, the adhd trait was broken by the update. ): i'm unable to view the profile of any sims that has adhd. it opens up to a blank screen that just says young adult. then afterwards i can't open any other sim's profiles at all, nothing happens.

2023-08-09 19:47:17 +0000 UTCI know this isn't officially your mod but the Scumbumbo Packing Crate keeps triggering my Better Exceptions. It worked perfectly before Patch Day. It's an awesome mod so I appreciate that you updated it. Maybe you'll do so again?
