Update pt.1 - work stuff

Hi guys, this post will be long -  I have so much to share.

However, to make it a bit easier to read, I'll break it up into several parts that I'll upload on different days.

Brace yourselves!

Let's start with the events that happened during those months that I took a break from my Patreon.

As you know, after I started my main job, I had no extra time and had to pause the content for this platform.

I submitted my CV, and shortly after - I got accepted to work for Telus as customer support for the About you project. At first, I was excited and eager to mark the start of something new.

The nightmares began as soon as I submitted my work documents at the office. I started so quickly that they didn't have the time to work out all of the details on the contract, which I partially signed on the spot. They urgently needed employees. ( Let's say that my interview was on the 26th, and on the next day I was already at work). They gave me the work equipment, and the training began. The training was a horrendous experience for me. A person who himself admits that he does not know English had to conduct one week of training in English -  because we had a foreigner in the team and there was no substitute. The girl was German by nationality. She quit by the end of the training week. The severe discrimination against her (no one communicated with her when she had questions, they ignored her, etc.) was too much, and she decided it was not worth it. And boy, was she right.

Our whole team didn't know anything because of the poor training - the misinformation among the colleagues was enormous. Things didn't get any better after we got assigned to our team leaders. All TLs had an extremely unprofessional attitude and made rude remarks to their teams. We all lost the desire to work. There were so many problems that I began to worry that they would blame it on the newcomers and lay us off. After the collective complaint, some higher-ups got reprimanded, but many of us had already given their notice. The inhumane treatment eventually got to me too, and I started looking for a new job.

I had information that there were open positions in Crypto, and they were searching for new employees. Most of my acquaintances worked there and had positive feedback - mainly because of the salary. I wanted to take the chance. I quit on the spot despite the compensation I had to pay. It was so bad at work that I just wanted to escape. A few months after I was no longer in the the clown fiesta, I learned the AY project failed. Whoever worked there was fired.

I started work at Crypto, and the vibe was different.. in a positive way. It felt good to be at work. The only problem I faced was the erratic shifts. Although I signed a contract for day shifts only - I was obliged to take night shifts as well, and they were dominant in my schedule. After the first three months, my body started acting up. I had constant headaches. No medication that I was taking managed to relieve the pain.
After many medical exams, it turned out that staying up late and still working was pretty bad for me.  I had to go on a regimen.

Overall, I felt good at this job, but I always had this uneasy feeling - as If I was in a cage and had nowhere else to go. My only motive to stay was the salary.

At some point, I concluded that if something doesn't make you happy, it's probably not for you. /no matter how tempting it seems to be.

Just a few weeks before my probation period had to come to an end, another job opportunity appeared. I felt it would have been pretty stupid not to accept it - they needed a community manager for a Metaverse, that is currently in development. I accepted it. I submitted my notice and was supposed to start on July 1st - the day before Animes qualifiers. I decided to use my due days off and craft nonstop until the 1st of July.

I never received a contract to sign for the new position, and I began to worry. I had already left my job because of their offer. The day before I officially started, I contacted my bosses to get more information - what are my duties, will they provide me with the equipment we previously spoke about, the working hours, etc.

The things they assigned me were weird, and I knew something was wrong. I decided to focus on Animes and not think much of the job. Then Animes was already in the past. I got a message - "we have changes at work, come to the office to discuss them". The discussion was that I am unemployed. Reason - they had a problem with their investors, and they coudn't pay me. Then they made me an offer that had nothing to do with the previously negotiated work conditions, and pay, and it is in a different field ( "So here is an offer to clear our conscience"). I still haven't refused the offer, but I plan on doing so.

Keep in mind that I am also managing the two stores  – BGCosplay and Recraft store during all of this chaos.

Here is how a typical day for me would go:

Let's say I had a 10 am shift - I get up, make breakfast, go out to send out yesterday's parcels, and start work. During the first small break, I have a quick meal, and prep for dinner. During my big break, I do some exercises and load up the washing machine/dishwasher.  On my second little break, I start making dinner. As soon as I finish my shift - I have dinner, clean, tidy up the apartment, and start crafting until 00:00 for the shops.

That was my daily routine for eight months. I couldn't afford a day off.

It is high time I changed this. I will do what I love and what makes me happy -  cosplay, crafting, and making sure to bring some glory to our Bulgarian cosplay community when I am representing us again.

I will try to be self-sufficient by working full time with these activities.

I will now have time for Patreon, and will finally be able to catch up. It will be active at the beginning of next month. Once I finish with the big update, I will release a new poll for the character you want to see as a reward for August.

Thank you for taking the time to read this post🐾
xoxo
