Current commissions I am working on

Hey guys, I hope you are doing well. Hopefully, the week has not been too rough up until now, but I am sure that you are doing great.

I wanted to share with you my commission work, which has kept me busy this month.

Right after Animes, I was approached by so many people about cosplay commissions. I felt really happy that I was getting so much work, as turning this into a full-time has been my lifelong dream. So today, I will be sharing the four pieces that I have been working on.

The first one was Pantheon's helmet from League of Legends. I am not going to sugarcoat this when I say that this was quite a challenging prop. First of all, the time that I had to execute this was only one week. Secondly, the main part of the prop was that it had to be durable enough to sustain underwater images as it was for an ad that they were shooting for a tournament. I started out by finding a pattern of A spartan helmet which I can then modify to make the overall design. I was able to find a nifty design of A spartan helmet which I then oversized as Pantheon is quite the big guy, and I wanted the prop to be epic. After making the design, I started thinking of ways how to make it so the paint would not chip off in the salty water. I started working on the horn piece, which is the middle piece of the helmet while brainstorming ideas of what to do with the paint situation. I have got to say that I have never gotten so dirty In EVA before. It was quite the pain to sand down the entire piece, but with a lot of patience, the final result turned out great, and I liked how all the decorations turned out. In the end, I was able to come up with a solution for the paint, and I added some extra coats just in case. I am proud of the final result and am eager to see the ad.

The second commission I am working on is Venti's wings from Genshin Impact. I have been waiting for quite a long time to make some wings as there is a super affordable and great way to make those. The wings are quite big, and it was a bit of a hassle creating the big scale and also sewing all of the pieces together. I ended up creating a pattern on Illustrator, which I then printed out so that I could get the base shape of the Wings and started cutting away. I attached their wings to a backpiece I made from some plastic and some building materials that you can find in any hardware store. Overall I am pretty pleased with how they turned out, and I am really looking forward to making more of these.

The 3rd and 4th commissions are female versions of the PillarMen. So far, I do not have a lot of updates for them as I am still getting around to making more progress on them. For one of the costumes, I had some instructions on how they wanted it to look, so I had to come up with a new design to fit the instructions. I am pretty proud of the design I made, but it will be quite challenging to work with the materials I have chosen. However, I am sure that I will do my best to make the girls look as epic as the PillarMen they are going to be.

Stay tuned for updates on the costumes, and I thank you for taking the time to read this.

xoxo
