No mention of State Department whistleblower Mike Benz’s or journalist Antony Loewenstein’s revelations about the censorship industrial complex. Post a link to Jordies covering it if you have one, but I’ve been watching for years and haven’t seen it.

They ousted Biden and circumvented a proper caucus process and installed a black woman. I still think Kamala was optically better than "sleepy Joe", but to your average voter who's hearing about "woke liberal elites" it looked very undemocratic and elitist... Like they don't care about the common persons vote/opinion. 2. You had Obama come out and condescendingly tell black men to vote for the black woman. 3. Roe vs. Wade was a huge target issue for the DNC. Not exclusively a identity politics issue of course, but conservatives definitely see it as that. 4. Kamala came out with a stimulus for (exclusively) black entrepreneurs. Literally discriminating against a voting demographic she needed.

I think it's fair to say we're either in or moving into a vibes based election cycle. I really don't know if Kamala had enough time to change the perceived vibe around her. I definitely think this is something Labor can learn from though. Legacy media is dying and I couldn't agree more with the idea that Labor needs to go on podcasts or Tiktok to broadcast their points. Something like Albo calling Woolies and Coles out on Shrinkflation might not be entirely fair but it would absolutely resonate with people.
