anyway, this is whittacker's last scene. i hope you enjoy it.

i forgot to post the newt, but this was the snake nurse's concept design. he is a cobra of some kind.

i enjoyed focusing on something besides kim (the last page did the same thing)... even though i try to make her fairly assertive as a protagonist, it's really hard to keep that energy all day every day.
i tend to not focus on therapy a lot in the comic because it can get very same-y, especially in group. however, this specific therapy slot has appeared twice now, so it establishes there are specific groups for therapy with the reappearance of (most) of the characters who attended before, kind of as follow-up to a staff member referencing them by name (group G). everyone has 4 different groups that they're assigned to, and it varies depending on time slot. this way people tend to have group DBT/CBT with more than one set of people. things like lunch and recreational therapy are only once per day if they're there at all though, so you end up selectively making friends, and sometimes skipping therapy that doesn't include the people you're most comfortable with anyway.
