That explains why magic is so malleable and can come in so many different forms, while the expression of cursed energy is largely fixed. That would also make sense as cursed energy is a... sort of synthesized or artificial magic, since it was created by Zeref. On a level analogous to the atomic or molecular level but for magic, blessed energy would be constructed in a way that it naturally interferes with cursed energy, explaining its advantage, while the rigid structure of cursed energy makes it naturally stronger against magic. When trying to force cursed energy to emulate magic, with sufficient "oomph" behind it, it'll produce a phenomenon akin to atomic splitting where massive amounts of energy is released in a more or less uncontrolled manner. Then the weirdness of exactly why the spell turned out doing what it did instead of doing something different but equally destructive can be chalked up to more complex metaphysics.
